Geranium Boy

Geraniums are a hardy plant, easy to grow and propagate by simply taking a cutting and placing it in well fertilized soil. With over 400 species of this genus of plant they vary in color and height from 6 inches to 4 feet. Geraniums also come in a variety of fragrances that include lemon, peppermint, orange, rose, nutmeg and chocolate. When I first moved to the Castro my front stoop was covered in Geraniums of all colors – a bright to sight to see in an already colorful San Francisco neighborhood.

Brown napkins, paper, spray paint, ink, acrylic on canvas.
